Edith Duvall, 71, passed away on March 5, 2010 after battling a rare form of bile duct cancer since late August, 2009. She was born on November 2, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in a large family with her mother, father, six brothers, and five sisters. Edith was the second youngest child and is survived by her younger brother Donald Otto who still resides Chicago, IL. She is also dearly missed by her loving husband of 53 years Edward, her eldest son Edward Allen, her daughter Sharon and spouse Christopher, her youngest son Daniel and spouse Angela, and nine grandchildren. Edith retired to Mesa, Arizona with her husband in March of 2001 after working as Vice-President of the Interstate Bank of Oak Forest for 28 years. Here she has enjoyed her last nine years of retirement spending time with her daughter Sharon and family, and her many cherished friends-many of which she met in her time as a faithful member of the East Mesa Baptist Church. Edith is very much loved and respected by her family and friends and will be missed by all those who were fortunate to share her beautiful spirit. Although she will no longer be with us in this life, we are all comforted in knowing that she is in peace now and will remain with us always in spirit.
